365 Days of Bow Ties

Because Bow Ties are…well you know

Day 11 – The Golden Bow Tie

I am trying some new. A email post from the iPad. So I came across an article in The Gloss about 24-karat gold ties including bow ties. I do not think I will be picking one us for the over $4000 price but is does look nice.

Day 8 – Another Photo from Harry Potter Day

William and Angela Harry Potter Day

William and Angela at Harry Potter Day

The day was wet but fun for this year’s Harry Potter Day at Disneyland. Although this is an unofficial event, the staff at Disneyland realized that with the rain we would have a hard time with checking in all the people who were participating in the games that Zoe organizes.

Because of the their commitment to guest, we had a great experience. And, yes people did enjoy my bow tie.

Day 7 – Disney Harry Pottey

A lovely and wet day for the Unofficial Harry Potter Day at Disneyland. For some reason people think I look like Author Weasely. I do not remember his wearing a bow tie; perhaps he should have.

Day 6 – Social Media Mastermind Orange County

So today I made the Social Media Mastermind Orange County (SMMOC) whiteboard…well that is my blog site did. The SMMOC group is filled with smart people passionate about social media. SMMOC members are willing to share what they know, think, find, and question about social media. It a open discussion for everyone to exchange and engage with each other. 365 Days of Bow Ties is possible because of what I learned and shared with these smart people. So thanks SMMOC and its organizer Bob.

Day 5 – Meeting People

20111104-121258.jpg Yesterday, while I was at my favorite dounut shop the new person behind the counter said “I love your tie.” Of course I had on a Robert Talbott bow tie on. So this goes back to why do I enjoy wearing them. Am I just vain and want to have people tell me how much they like what I am wearing. To be honest, yes a little. But I also think that it says something about me. You may not want to judge a book by its cover but it is the first thing you see and is often what draws us to it. So what do you think wearing a bow tie says?

Day 4 – Bow Ties in the Wild

As part of my blogging on bow ties, there is now a bow ties in the wild category for those times I am out and come upon some bow ties. I think that bow ties will show up in some holiday advertisements. But for now here is a rack of bow ties.

Day 2 – Bow Tie Tuesday

Bow Tie Tuesday Nov 1

Yes it is Bow Tie Tuesday. I did not intent on Tuesdays becoming a primary day for bow ties; but it has grown into that for both work colleagues and my friends. If, for some reason, I am without a bow tie on a Tuesday, it is noted with a little sadness.
