A lovely surprise as I was wondering through downtown San Luis Obispo, three bow ties in the Patrick James store. Dan Badilla was a great help and yes I did pick up a new bow tie…okay, two new ones.

Day 126 – Men’s Fashion Tips From the 1920s
I often feel acquainted with what I enjoy wearing and even my thoughts. One of the many reasons I wear bow ties is to connect with the formality of living. I know, it does seem strange to thing of living as a formality. However, in formality there is discipline and thought. My daily practice of living includes choosing what to wear and not simply putting on something that is conferrable. I wear bow ties because it says something about me in a world filled with logo bearing t-shirts and jeans.
