Lunch with Sasha
Lunch with Sasha at the after SMMOC meetup luncheon with John Chow (seen in the background). SMMOC provides a place to talk about social media and ask questions. The lunch gives up some time to get together for more talking and connections.

Day 159 – Packing and Bow Tie

Bow Tie Budget Travel tweeted out a post by OneBag.com (The Art and Science of Travelling Light) who had advice on a packing list, which included travling with a bow tie to dress up your outfit.

Thanks to my bow ties, I have made several trips (including one for 10 days) with just one bag.

Cool Aaron on his final day…his 500 day of bow tie from 500 Days of Bow Ties. Of course I think it is cool just wearing a bow tie 500 times but there is more. His commitment to this project is commendable. Let’s face it, there are just day when each of us do not feel up to some task; however, Aaron showed discipline. Congratulations.

Day 126 – Men’s Fashion Tips From the 1920s

20120304-211935.jpgI often feel acquainted with what I enjoy wearing and even my thoughts. One of the many reasons I wear bow ties is to connect with the formality of living. I know, it does seem strange to thing of living as a formality. However, in formality there is discipline and thought. My daily practice of living includes choosing what to wear and not simply putting on something that is conferrable. I wear bow ties because it says something about me in a world filled with logo bearing t-shirts and jeans.

May I suggest reading a great blog about Men’s Fashion Tips From the 1920s for a view into a world where fashion was changing and bow ties were the cat’s meow.
