Day 87 – Pagan Conference
A photo from last year’s Conference on Current Pagan Studies at Claremont Graduate University with all the Cherry Hill Seminary people.
I have often thought of bow ties as part of an academic regalia.

The short answer is to wear a bow tie like Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
A forgotten photo with my friend Christina who is a truly outstanding artist.
I have been on a search for a good bow tie costume from the upcoming Star Trek Las Vegas Convention that includes a bow tie. However, I did come across this “Bashir, Julian Bashir – The Spy Who Healed Me” video. However, it was not what I was looking for. I did remember that in Star Trek: The Next Generation there was a Mr. Whalen in a bow tie for the episode “The Big Goodbye.” Perhaps, if anyone remembers a good episode that I can watch and see if I can create a good Star Trek costume using a bow tie, they would be so kind as to let me know. Thanks.
Thanks to my friend Thorn (@ThornCoyle), who sent me a link to this foundation that creates bow ties (and those other ones too) and gives back to rural communities. You can find them at www.dibifoundation.com
PEE WEE Herman House Slippers Red Bow Tie Black & White Tuxedo design 1989 Novelty Gift from Plattermatter2 on Etsy. Althoguht these have been sold you can look at the other cool retro stuff from Plattermatter2. Thanks to Angela for finding these and sending me the link.
Thanks to Angela, I have a bow tie with my family colors (The Burnett Ancient Tartan). I am a little suspect of the idea of an ancient tartan and the modern tartan is shown on the Burnett of Leys website; however, it has been with me many years so it is part of my history.
It was originally a Burnett Tartan Tie; however, Angela had Laura (xoelle.com) take my old moth-eaten tie and create this beautiful bow tie. She did a lot of great work to make this out of a badly damaged tie, so thank you Laura and to Angela for such a kind gift.
I always did like Lurch (Ted Cassidy on the 60’s TV show). Thank you Charles Addams for creating the Addams Family.
