Thanks to Angela, I have a bow tie with my family colors (The Burnett Ancient Tartan). I am a little suspect of the idea of an ancient tartan and the modern tartan is shown on the Burnett of Leys website; however, it has been with me many years so it is part of my history.
It was originally a Burnett Tartan Tie; however, Angela had Laura (xoelle.com) take my old moth-eaten tie and create this beautiful bow tie. She did a lot of great work to make this out of a badly damaged tie, so thank you Laura and to Angela for such a kind gift.
I always did like Lurch (Ted Cassidy on the 60’s TV show). Thank you Charles Addams for creating the Addams Family.

First, thank you MasterInIt.org for the infographic and Geeks are Sexy: Tech, Science, and Social News for sharing this.
So are nerds the ones wearing bow ties as this infographic suggests? Then am I a nerds…perhaps in some ways but with any general categorization of a person, I may have some but not all the traits. Individuals are more than a simple generalization base upon some “norm.” So I will continue to wear my bow ties, read philosophy, enjoy medieval history, and take comfort in that I have good friends that see me as a person not a type.
If you get a chance, pick up on of the Winner Twins’s books which you can find at http://www.StrandTheBook.com/
Until then it is bow ties, a great novel, and of course Paris.
See a list of bow ties wearers from Wikipedia including Winston Churchill.
